The Uniqueness of Our Education

bilingual education

We learn in two languages daily: Lithuanian and English. One of the three teachers in the classroom is an English speaker.

Bilingualism helps individuals control attention, solve problems, and think outside the box. It makes it easier for them to initiate conversations and boosts their self-confidence.

It has been proven that children from bilingual families have higher academic achievements. It is easier for them to learn a third or fourth language.

Awareness of different cultures is broader, and it facilitates travel and communication with locals. For those who speak multiple languages, the job market is more open, providing more choices.

Individualization and Differentiation

The most important task of our teachers is to notice each child and respond to their needs. Guided by the principles of contextual education, we recognize that every child is unique. One component of contextual education is individualization and differentiation.

To help each child develop their strengths and improve their weaknesses, we differentiate activities at the nursery. Every child learns best when new information is meaningful to them. Teachers consider each child's age, abilities, experiences, concentration levels, family situation, and individual experiences to provide the most effective and tailored education possible.

contextual education

At "Katino Dienelės," children are educated using the principles of contextual learning. What is this? Contextual learning allows us to look at the world more broadly, fostering the understanding that each child comes from a different family and culture. It involves collaboration with parents and their involvement in the educational process. The essence of contextual learning is education that considers the needs of each child.

We follow the principles of contextual learning to help children understand why and how they learn. This type of education influences children's self-expression, shapes their character, personal traits, and values. All activities at the nursery are interconnected. Children link new information with what they already know, ensuring a deep understanding of each topic. Learning becomes more enjoyable for children as they can relate to the activities and share their knowledge beforehand.
